Red Hammer is a Sydney based, multi-media advertising agency, servicing a range of Australian and multi-national clients.

We create and produce premium advertising solutions across all marketing disciplines from TV, Advertorials, Infomercials, Social, Digital – Brand Development, through to DRTV (Direct Response TV).

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

We started Red Hammer because we (and some our more progressive clients) stopped believing in the traditional agency model which is expensive, outdated . . . and you simply don’t get the ‘best people’.

That’s because the ‘best people’ back themselves . . . and therefore work for themselves . . or Red Hammer!

So what makes us different, is that we leverage and manage our organisation of ‘best people’ – and develop your existing Marketing Strategy combining great creative thinking with highly effective solutions.

However, Red Hammer is happy to work on specific tasks – for example, a full brand rejuvenation - or maybe simply a TV or digital execution.

Either way, we know the short cuts – and our overheads are low, so your costs drop too.

To give you an idea - we currently engage over 48 experts across eleven media specialist areas.

Background

Red Hammer was started by James Roberts back in 2005.

Previously working in London (Saatchi and DMB&B networks) – then New York, Shanghai (Lowe) and now Sydney (ex Managing Director of both Batey Kazoo and Clemenger).

Our Philosophy

We strongly believe that ‘Marketing’ should not involve structured silos of expertise.

To work effectively it has to involve a clever blend of multiple disciplines . . . working in total unison, constantly driving intelligence back to the starting point.

Almond Breeze

Almond Breeze almond milk is a great tasty and healthy product.

Red Hammer launched the first major campaign for Almond Breeze based on extensive quantitative and qualitative research which told us that (amongst other things) everyone was chasing “healthy and tasty”. Nothing new there – but we also found that no one liked being preached to and there were very diverse reasons to purchase (cholesterol, calories, calcium, fats, sugar, plant based, vegetarian, vegan etc.).first

A difficult creative and media challenge

Working as a close-knit team, in conjunction with Pearman Media – we developed a light-hearted response introducing “Daisy and Bess” – two nervous and slightly paranoid cows very concerned about the significance of an exciting, healthy alternative to their milk. As a result, they pose the question: ‘Is it better than milk?’ using an engaging style of virtual real animation which is supported by simple brand messaging.

The campaign was translated into TV, Online, Social, Digital, and Outdoor (predominantly bus sides). It’s been a massive success so far as we overtake our nearest rival in terms of household penetration!
